Bring ideas to life through the fundamentals of animation and storytelling. In this hands-on course, students will explore how still images become moving stories. Through character design, storyboarding, and frame-by-frame animation, students will learn how animators communicate ideas, emotions, and narratives through motion. Using accessible digital tools, students will experiment with timing, movement, voiceovers, and sound effects while developing their own animated short pieces. Emphasis is placed on creativity, collaboration, and expressive storytelling. The course concludes with a celebratory showcase of student work, giving young creators confidence and a strong foundation in animation and visual communication. No prior animation experience required.
