Early Kindergarten Prep

In preparation for the coming school year, rising Early Kindergarten students are invited to participate in a unique three hour summer school unit of inquiry. Early Kindergarten students will participate in "Play with a Purpose" as they focus on the skills vital to success in the next school year; including social and emotional development, language and literacy, cognitive development and motor skills. Each day begins with a warm welcome and large group activities. The children learn routines and explore purposeful play in classroom centers. Additionally, students will engage in small group, hands-on activities and games while learning early literacy and math concepts. Our Get Set For School Handwriting curriculum will be implemented and practiced daily through a multisensory approach.
