Embark on an unforgettable journey through China, a country where ancient traditions and modern life exist side by side. Students will explore the historic wonders of Beijing and the vibrant energy of Shanghai, gaining firsthand insight into one of the world’s oldest and most dynamic civilizations. Throughout this field study, students will walk the Great Wall of China, visit imperial landmarks such as the Forbidden City and the Temple of Heaven, and experience authentic cultural exchanges with local students at an international school. They’ll have the chance to navigate Beijing’s hutongs, learn Chinese calligraphy, and immerse themselves in daily life through shared meals and local conversations. In Shanghai, students will discover the balance between heritage and innovation while exploring traditional gardens and ancient water towns, visiting world-class museums, and witnessing the dazzling skyline from atop the Shanghai Tower. They will also take part in hands-on learning experiences, including a Shanghainese cooking class, a service project with local youth, and a traditional tea ceremony.
