Get ready to bring your wildest stories to life! In this fun, hands-on animation class, students will dive into the world of cutout and silhouette puppet animation (one of the earliest forms of animation). Students will look at the history of this art form and its connections to shadow puppetry across different cultures. Using paper, scissors, and stop-motion magic, they'll design their characters, build simple puppets, and make them come to life on screen. From shadowy fairy tales to hilarious puppet shows, each session is packed with creativity and action. By the end of the course, students will have produced their short animated film to share with friends and family—no prior experience needed, just imagination!
