5, 4, 3, 2, 1 BLAST OFF!!! Students, get ready to select, build and launch your own model rocket powered by solid rocket fuel, all while on the St. Mary’s campus. In this camp, students will gain experience in model rocket building basics and safety while they work in teams of two
to build and launch a model rocket together in only 5 days. Students will log the flight altitude,
acceleration, top speed, flight duration and other important flight statistics to compare with the other teams. Each student will have the option to take home their model rocket (after negotiating
with their teammate) or an unbuilt model rocket kit. Sorry no rocket motors will be allowed to be taken home by the students.
